About Yajing
Yajing Zhang has been a Fremont resident for the past 20 years. She came to the United States to pursue a Master’s degree in Science and later attended a PhD program at UCLA. After working in the high-tech industry and leveraging her advanced science degrees, Yajing has become a successful business owner.
Yajing is currently a trustee and President of the Fremont Unified School District (FUSD) Board of Education. She also sits on the FUSD/Fremont City Council Liaison Committee and interacts with the Fremont City Council regularly. In these roles, Yajing has demonstrated strong leadership and team-building skills. She has been a great steward of the district’s fiscal balance and has been an excellent advocate for quality education, campus safety, and student well-being. Under Yajing’s guidance, FUSD has maintained its status as one of the top school districts in California and the country.
Moving forward, Yajing’s proven leadership and willingness to continue serving Fremont make her a valuable asset to the community. The community’s ongoing support and input will be crucial as Yajing works to keep Fremont one of the safest cities while also striving to enhance the city’s vitality and sustainability.
